After years of planning and development, the Ridge Center officially opened its doors in March 2025. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked more than just the unveiling of a beautiful new facility—it celebrated the dedication of a community that continues to invest in its people and lifestyle.

Designed with versatility and vibrancy in mind, the Ridge Center & Campus was built to support Ocean Ridge’s thriving and active residential life. With over 100 active clubs and social groups in the community, the need for more gathering spaces was clear. This new development delivers in every way.

Spanning approximately 9,300 square feet, the modern community building offers:

• Flexible meeting and event rooms for social gatherings, club meetings, and celebrations
• A comfortable library lounge ideal for quiet reading, conversation, or relaxation
• A fully-equipped catering kitchen to support community events

Outdoor Amenities Designed for Active Living

Beyond the walls of the Ridge Center, the campus comes alive with recreational amenities that invite movement and fun. Highlights include:

• A zero-entry outdoor pool, perfect for leisurely swims or lounging under the Carolina sun
• Six pickleball courts, giving residents a great way to stay active and social
• A band pavilion and event lawn, ready to host concerts, festivals, and community celebrations year-round

A Symbol of Resilience

The opening of the Ridge Center carries a deeper significance for many Ocean Ridge residents. In 2021, an EF-3 tornado left a path of destruction through the area, damaging homes and landscape alike. The community came together in the aftermath, and the Ridge Center now stands as a beacon of that strength and unity.

As Board President Ron Weinhold shared during the dedication, “This is something the residents wanted for a long time—it’s exciting to see it come to life.” Project manager Phil Pirro added, “It’s meant to be a true community space—welcoming, flexible, and inspiring.”
